Connection. Competition. Conversation.
That’s what franchise networking events should deliver, and on September 10, 2025, the South Florida Women’s Franchise Network (WFN) proved it’s possible to do all three with sneakers on and smiles wide.
Held at Kidokinetics HQ in Davie, FL, this energizing fall event gathered leaders, franchise professionals, and industry friends for a night that looked less like a traditional business mixer and more like a wellness-forward team huddle, with a side of pickleball.
Not Your Average Franchise Networking Event
When you think of franchise networking, you might picture stiff name tags and a stack of business cards. But WFN South Florida flipped the script, replacing awkward intros with energizing play, inspiring panel discussions, and real talk about what balance actually looks like in franchising today.
The evening kicked off with fun icebreaker movement games and high-fives from new and familiar faces. Then came the good stuff: a panel of women in wellness franchising who brought clarity, candor, and plenty of laughs to the conversation.
The Panel: Real Talk from Women Leading in Wellness Franchising
- Terri Braun, Founder & President, Kidokinetics
- Lindsey McFadden, CMO, Stretch Zone
- Helen Martin, Multi-Unit Franchisee, Stretch Zone
- Jackie Owens, Regional Manager, Orangetheory Fitness
This wasn’t fluff. It was permission to redefine success, on your terms.
They unpacked the realities of burnout, boundary-setting, leading values-driven teams, and how movement, mindfulness, and small resets (like finger tricks and figure 8s that activate both sides of the brain) can shift your energy and your leadership.
Whether it’s putting your phone on Do Not Disturb until 8AM, squeezing in a workout when you can, or hugging your dog between meetings—balance isn’t a fixed equation. It’s about doing what works for you, and building a team that respects that.

Bright Pink in the Building
A few of our own Brighties—Madalina Iordache, CFE, Alisha Hughes, Gyongyi Castellanos, and Samantha McAiney—joined the action, bringing our full selves (and our sneakers) to the court.
We’re also proud to serve on the WFN South Florida leadership committee, where we help shape meaningful franchise networking events like this one—rooted in connection, not just conversion.
And yes, we’re thrilled to share that two of our team members took home awards during the event:
🏆 Alisha Hughes – Most Competitive
🏆 Samantha McAiney – Spirit of the Game
Whether it’s pickleball or a project sprint, we bring our A-game.
Why These Events Matter
Behind every brand, campaign, or quarterly goal, there’s a person. A woman. A team. A moment where the personal meets the professional.
Franchise networking events like this remind us that franchising is more than systems and sales, it’s a people business. And people need moments to breathe, to move, and to connect.
At Bright Pink Agency, we believe in building brands that make space for that humanity, and in showing up for the community doing the same.
