The Challenge
TutorDoctor.com and TutorDoctor.co.uk (collectively, 278 locations) were built on a proprietary platform that did not afford the client the opportunity to make their own content changes. The client felt their website vendor was not responsive to their needs, with changes taking too long to complete. Moreover, their website vendor controlled all their digital marketing efforts, including hosting, SEO, paid ads, and additional services, in an “all or nothing” package, making a “breakup” a very difficult undertaking. It was decided that a move to WordPress, an open-source content management system, would offer more flexibility and autonomy over marketing content.
